Hello beauties! It’s been a while and as you may have seen on my Instagram, I just came back from Coachella Weekend One! Can I just take this time to say it was everythinggg and more! An amazing experience and I will be sharing my vlog with you guys as soon as I recover my footage (Long story!)

Here’s my top tips for those of you perhaps planning on braving Coachella next year, I’d 100% recommend!

  1. Plan in advance! Coachella happens every year. Without fail! So you have no excuse to be last minute with your planning. Tickets for the 2019 festival will be available in the next few weeks prior to the line up being announced (The lineup is confirmed later this year). Even if it means buying the tickets now and reselling if you decide you don’t want to go later could literally save you a few hundred pounds.
  2. Accomodation! As in my first point, loads of people will start booking their accomomodation early so make sure you start looking as soon as you’ve secured your tickets as the hotels and airbnb’s fill up pretty fast! Book early to try save some coinszzz!
  3. There’s more to life! Personally, all the acts I wanted to see where usually from 6pm onwards! During the day there’s usually loads of events and pool parties in the Palm Springs area so start looking early on Instagram etc to get onto the coveted guest lists!
  4. Bandana Bandana Bandana! This goes beyond any fashion statement! Coachella is literally in Palm Springs Desert and although there is grass, it gets hella dusty from all the thousands of people! A bandana tied over your mouth will help stop from inhaling all the nasty stuff!
  5. Bring a jacket! Although everyone is trying to serve their best festival looks, temperatures drop drastically at night! Perhaps tie a long sleeved shirt or hoody round your waist to throw on when the breeze creeps up at night! If you’re looking for inspo for any festivals this summer, why not check out my post on the Karl Kani x PLT collab here?
  6. Prioritise your acts! There’s loads of stages during the Festival and it’s important to check your favourite artist’s set times to ensure you don’t miss them! There’s always someone there to help with where to go and make sure you’ve downloaded the Coachella app!
  7. Stay hydrated! If you are at Coachella from day until night, you are guaranteed to get caught in that Californian sun! Drinking drinks with electrolytes will help you stay hydrated and bring an empty water bottle as there are water stations where you can get these filled up!
  8. As with any festival, don’t forget your essentials such as sunscreen, wipes and hand sanitiser for when you’re ready to try some of the delicious food stands they have!
  9. Keep your hands free! If you can, commit to the festival experience and carry your bum bag/fanny pack! This will keep your hands free to dance and with the bag being at the front, you won’t have to worry as much about pick pocketers!
  10. Stay charged but switch off! Make sure you bring a portable charger with you which will help if you happen to lose any of your friends. At the same time, as much as you’d love to make your friends at home jealous, take some time to live in the moment! Put your phone away, make new friends and enjoy the experience!

Does that work? I really was trying to do a smart play on words and this was the best I could come up with!

Basically, all I’m trying to say is, when was the last time you showed yourself some appreciation and self-love? This gift guide is collated with gifts to yourself in mind but it can definitely also be used as inspiration for you whether you’re celebrating ‘Galentine’s’ day with your besties or even if you have an actual valentine but still want to spoil yourself!

Self-love is a journey I’m currently on myself and the following quote sums up the ‘why?’ question perfectly!

“Don’t rely on someone else for your happiness and self-worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can’t love and respect yourself – no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are – completely; the good and the bad – and make changes as YOU see fit – not because you think someone else wants you to be different.”

I hope you guys love the suggestions below and if you have any other ideas, please feel free to comment, I’d love to hear what you guys are doing to ensure you’re taking care of number one!

1. Atelier Cologne – Starting at $150+

Renowned for their signature luxury scents, Atelier Cologne have curated a range of beautiful sets specifically created for Valentine’s and they are to die for! Unfortunately demand has meant they’re all sold out online but visit the website here to find your nearest Atelier Cologne Boutique! Prices start from $150 upwards and if you’re going to splurge a little on one item this year, make sure this is your number one choice! My favourite would be the Café Tuberosa and Vanille Insensée set but make sure to stop by so you can find a scent that suits you best!

2. Christian Louboutin Nail Polish – $50/£38

Available in a wide range of eye-catching statement colours, this nail polish is an accessory in itself! I received one as a gift a couple years back and with it’s iconic spiked cap, I would definitely recommend for those of you who want to give your dressing table a talking point! Buy here (US) or here (UK).

3. Givenchy – eaudemoiselle de Givenchy Extravagant – $150

A bit on the pricier side of this gift guide, this fragrance is to die for! With notes of Tuberose, Vanilla and Patchouli, it’s a scent that is sure to have heads turning when you glide past! Unfortunately I’m only seeing this one available in the US! Buy here.

4. Michael Todd Beauty – Sonic Eraser Pro –  $89.25 (on sale!)/£91

For those of you looking to indulge in a little R&R, this product is for you. Designed to enhance the absorption of all your lotions and potions, this is my absolute must have skin product at the moment! But don’t let me have to convince you, try it for yourself and see! Buy here (US) or here (UK).

5. Lano Rose Hand Cream Intense – $15

With the winter weather still lurking over here, it’s so important to keep your hands hydrated! Two staples my mum has always taught me should be in my hand bag; hand cream and a pack of tissues!Maybe I’m alone here but I’ve been guilty of using a lip gloss or even licking my hands to hide any dry patches when I am on the go without hand cream! *bows head in shame* The Lano hand cream has a subtle rosy scent and hydrates your skin without leaving your hands greasy. A must buy! Buy here.

6. Lancôme Teint Macaron – $40/£35

I mean, before we even get to the product, can we discuss how cute this packaging is! The pastel colours are giving me spring vibes and I am so here for it. This product is perfect for adding a touch of pink to your cheeks and comes with the cutest blender to diffuse the colour. I was initially skeptical to how suitable it would be for darker skin tones but I am completely in love! Buy here.

Of course these were initially collated with Valentine’s Day in mind but don’t forget, you don’t have to wait until February 14th to treat yourself! For the boys, these make great little gifts for the women in your life and ladies, how about surprising your ‘Galentine’ with a gift this year?!

I’d love to hear any other recommendations below and I will catch you guys in my next post!

I really have been gone for way too long and I’m sorry for neglecting those of you who would prefer a bit of a read over watching me waffle in my YouTube videos! (P.S. But have you subscribed?! Click here to view my channel and catch up!)

As we’ve entered the New Year, I thought it was only fitting to share with you guys my hopes for the coming year and a brief reflection of the year just passed.

Who would have ever known 2017 would have been such a transformative year for me! I left home and moved to the Big Apple, I launched my Youtube & Blog and I had the opportunity to work with some amazing brands I probably only would have dreamed of the year before! The likes of Lancome, Derma-E, Hourglass and Mizani to name but a few! (If you’d like to hear more about how I landed these opportunities, do let me know and I’d be happy to share with you guys).

I have more beauty and hair products than I know what to do with and at the end of the year I received my first paid partnership! Would you look at God! I don’t say any of this to boast but just to share with you guys the importance of just getting out there and pursuing the things you are passionate about. I had hesitated to get started for so long out of fear of failure but I came to the realization that as long as I’m proud of my work, that’s truly all that matters and I really am blessed with how far I’ve come since starting blogging in September.

2018 Goals!

  1. Hit 2000 subscribers by August (help me get a head start by clicking here!)
  2. Land 5 paid jobs by December
  3. Secure an amazing job I enjoy following my role here in the US
  4. Remain consistent with updating all my platforms regularly
  5. Visit 4 different countries/states
  6. Save Save Save!

These are just for now, I may add to them as I hit any of my set targets; if you have anything you think I should add up there let me know, I’d love to hear your suggestions! I hope you guys have a blessed start to the year and that 2018 is filled with nothing but joy for you and yours!

Also this next picture is purely to show you how ridiculously tall this tree is! Fun fact – I’m actually only 5’3!
